nulis is a productivity tool designed for managing notes and tasks. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use the app.

nulis focuses on user privacy and minimal data collection. We collect only what is necessary for the app to function:

  • User-Generated Content: All notes (titles and content), tasks (descriptions, priorities, due dates, and completion status), and tags you create.
  • Metadata: Information such as unique identifiers (UUIDs) used for organizing your data, and timestamps for when content is created or updated.
  • No Personal Identifiers: In its current version, nulis does not collect personal information like your name, email address, or phone number.

Data Storage & Local-First Approach

Your privacy is protected by our local-first design:

  • On-Device Storage: All your data is stored locally on your device using a secure local database.
  • No Current Transmission: We do not transmit your notes, tasks, or any other data to any external servers.
  • Permissions: The current version of nulis does not require or use Internet or Network state permissions.

Future-Proof Synchronization

While the app is currently offline-only, the underlying data architecture (including "SyncStatus" fields like PENDING_INSERT and SYNCED) is built to support future cloud synchronization features.

  • These fields are currently placeholders to ensure that when we introduce optional cloud sync (e.g., via Google Drive or other providers), your transition will be seamless.
  • Even with future sync features, you will always have control over where your data is stored.

Third-Party Services

  • No Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics (like Firebase Analytics) or crash reporting tools.
  • No Data Sharing: We do not share, sell, or rent your data to any third parties.

Your Rights & Control

  • Ownership: You retain 100% ownership of all content you create within the app.
  • Access & Deletion: You can view, modify, or delete any of your data directly through the app's user interface. Since data is stored only on your device, deleting it from the app or uninstalling the app (without a backup) will permanently remove the data.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as we add new features, such as optional cloud synchronization. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
